Riley had a day off today. So he decided he would just hang out in his apartment with his grandparents. Until that is he realised that it was really boring. Sure it was fun spending time with his grandparents but at the same time it was slightly boring. He vowed he was never going to get old, cause once you got old you became boring.
He went out onto the balcony and looked down at the people walking down there. “ Hello world” He yelled at the random people. A few people looked up somebody shot him the finger “ Hey really nice random person” He yelled at that person. He gulped and spit down on him. Haha take that loser he thought to himself. He went back into the apartment and saw his grandma watching tv and took a seat down beside her.
He noticed that she was watching some sort of women’s tv. “ Ohhh I love say yes to the dress” He said getting up and grabbing his grandma a bowl of chips and himself some pop. “ Damn we’re out of pop I’ll be right back” He said giving her a kiss on her cheek and got up and left.
He enjoyed doing things for his grandparents after all they took him in when they could’ve just left him and he could’ve been taken somewhere else. He walked to the store and stared at each pop “ Hmmm this is tricky” He muttered out loud.

Being new to town wasn't exactly fun. Celia wasn't quite certain what she wanted to think of this town. It was no New York City, that much was certain. She had never lived anywhere but New York City, and the idea of living in a town so small just seemed... unappealing. It had been her grandmother's idea, really. Caroline, as her grandmother insisted that she be called, had pretty much taken over their family as of late. It was strange, having so many rules when she had never had them before. It almost felt like being under house arrest.
And, Celia felt, that the worst of the rules had yet to come. They had just finished moving the many, many boxes into the Chancellor house. It was probably one of the largest houses in Pebble Cove. Even though Caroline had insisted on changing their lifestyle, she hadn't settled for the shabby apartments or run down houses that seemed to liter the streets of Pebble Cove. She had insisted that they have a fancy house built, still keeping a bit of normalcy from their former lives. Even if it were just a bit.
Now, though, Celia could vividly recall starring at the many boxes littering the inside of her home as her grandmother barked out orders.. It was going to be a lot of work. And that meant a lot of unwanted, unneeded family time. She had needed to get out of the house, which was what had lead her to here. The other side of town in a small general store. It was the kind of store that she had once just looked at and laughed. But, it was better than being at home.
So, Celia was now roaming the isles, picking up various food items, reading the backs, and then shaking her head in slight disgust. The store was fairly empty, which she was grateful for since she would have stood out will. However, rounding the corner of the soda isle, she spotted someone. The first person she had really seen here in Pebble Cove aside from her family and the movers. She heard him say something, and couldn't help but to glance over his shoulder.
"I recommend the diet berries and cream Dr. Pepper... but, really, have you tried the teas? They're much healthier!" She chirped, before she really realized what she was doing/ [/blockquote]

Riley heard a voice from behind him and he turned and looked at the girl. No doubt she was absolutely beautiful. Oh shit if only I wasn’t gay he thought then realised he loved being gay and he wouldn’t change that for the world no matter how hard he tried(which he did). He looked at her and made a face “ No offense honey but that just doesn’t sound appealing to me at all” He said commenting about that foreign sounding doctor pepper. He stared at her with confusion.
“ Tea?” He asked her a little stunned. “ Oh hell no” He said snapping his fingers. He found what he was looking for and picked it up and showed her “ Cherry doctor pepper is amazing” He told her with a grin. “ So I’m Riley and you are?” He asked remembering his manners grandma would so be smacking him upside the head right about now. He couldn’t help but wonder what a pretty girl like this was doing in this shit hole of a town. She probably lost a bet or something.
Riley noticed that he hadn’t met a guy in a while that he was interested in and he hoped that changed very soon.

The boy was prompt in turning to answer her words. Celia was almost surprised by this. Had anyone greeted her in such a manner, she probably would have ignored them, or answered them in the falsely sweet voice that her peers seemed to know so well. The boy seemed genuine, as if he was acting like himself. It caught her off guard, but she couldn't help but to laugh at his response. "Suit yourself, then! But, you don't know what you're missing out on." She shrugged, stepping around him now to eye the aisle over. So many sodas, it made her stomach shift.
"How can you pass up the diet berries and cream Dr. Pepper for cherry?" She gave a mock horror face, kneeling down to the single bottles on the bottom of the shelf. She picked up a single bottle of the dr. pepper and stood back up, holding it out to him. "The cherry just can't beat this." She didn't drink soda often. Her family preferred teas, champaigns, and coffees. But, if she was going to drink soda, this would be the kind.
Upon showing him the soda, she sat the bottle down on the shelf, really having no intent on buying it. She really wasn't sure what she was doing here, aside from escaping her family for a few hours. He introduced himself, and Celia smiled. She started to extend a hand, as she had been drilled to do since she was young, but she then stopped herself. "Celia. Celia Chancellor." She laughed lightly as she introduced herself. The boy seemed nice, which she was grateful for. "It's a pleasure to meet you," Celia added after just a few seconds. Did anyone even say that anymore? She felt rather silly, but oh well. [/blockquote]

Riley tilted his head at her as she claimed he was missing out. “ I’ll try it if you buy it for me” He said giving her a smile. He hated buying things in case he didn’t like them because then he just wasted his money on something he had no intentions on finishing. But if somebody else bought it he would try it then decide if later on in life he liked it then buy it from then on. Riley couldn’t help but laugh abit at her statement.
But since he knew that was rude he disguised it as a cough. He bowed “ Madam it is an absolute pleasure to meet you” He said in a fake British accent. “ Shall we go out for scones my lady?” He asked her. “ Sorry that just amused me nobody talks like that anymore unless your rich or British” He said giving her a smile. He hoped she didn’t think he was making fun of her in a mean way. He was making fun of her but it was in a non-bullying way.
“ So what brings you to the crappy grocery store?” He asked. He loved asking questions it was his thing.

He'd try it if she bought it. "Done," Celia grinned, graciously picking back up the bottle she had just sat down. That was something that she could easily bring herself to do. She had never really considered money and object, which was also why she had never visited a store quite like this one. Everything was so cheap compared to what she was used to.
She didn't voice this thought, though. Instead she just laughed as Riley stated that only the British or the rich speak like that. Shaking her head, she continued to laugh lightly. "You have caught me," She spoke, now forcing a fake British accent similar to Riley's. "I am British billionaire, here on a business trip." Grinning sheepishly, she shook her head at herself. Her accent was hardly believable, but she assumed that he knew she was joking.
Laughing once more, she shook her head, her voice returning to normal. "Kidding! I just wanted to sound... proper." Celia winked, and then glanced around the grocery store at his question. It wasn't much, that was for sure. What would sound like a good excuse to be here? She wasn't about to go into a tanget about her real reason for coming all the way to this side of town. "Caroline, my grandmother, sent me down here for..." Spotting some ice cream in the corner of the store, she nodded that way. "Ice cream. She wanted some ice cream. I mean, who doesn't love ice cream?" [/blockquote]

Riley’s mouth hung open “ That’s got to be an amazing life, can I borrow some money?” He asked her with a smile. “ I promise I will try and pay you back” He said with a laugh. He knew he would never be able to pay her back. He was sure she was joking about the British billionaire thing but how cool would that be if she was telling the truth. “ Uh honey I love that your flirting with me but I got to be honest with you I’m gay” He said grinning at her pretty sure that she wasn’t flirting with him but he liked saying random things like that.
Well the fact that he was gay wasn’t random it is the truth. “ What a coincidence I’m running errands for my grandma too, well kind of I volunteered to do it without her even asking” He told her shrugging his shoulders. Riley nodded his head “ Possibly one of the best things ever made” He said agreeing with her. “ So I take it you just moved here” Riley said making an assumption. He knew a lot of the people and had never seen her before.

"Definitely," Cecelia giggled in response to the boy's question, continuing in the fake, thick British accent. Reaching into her pocket, she pulled out a couple of crumpled bills, a piece of gum, and her credit card. "Unfortunately, there seems to be a shortage on actual bills this afternoon." She shook her head, shoving the crumpled money back into her pocket, but leaving her credit card in hand. She always paid credit. Her mother or grandmother picked up the bill later. It was just easier. And then his random remark came. Celia paused, taking a second to consider his words. Then, she put on a pouty face and shook her head, jokingly. "Darn! And here I was hoping to ask you out for pizza later!" Not that she had originally intended to do such a thing, but it seemed like a good thing to say. Small towns had pizza parlors... right? Well, she hoped so. She was pretty sure that their housekeepr was off for the night, and none of her family members were exactly good at cooking. But, she'd worry about that later.
"Gotta love running errands for grandmas. Caroline is just so demanding." Celia shrugged, grinning at Riley now as she walked past him to the ice cream. She paused in front of it, considering the many flavors for a few seconds. It wasn't until Riley's next question that Celia pulled her eyes away from the ice cream and looked back to him. The inevitable question. Celia bit her lip sub-consciously and nodded. "Just got here today, actually." [/blockquote]

Riley laughed and waved his hand “ You can still take me out for pizza, as long as I don’t have to make it I’m all game” He said giving her a smile then felt he should explain what he had meant by that. “ See I’m a pizza chef so I make pizza a lot” He told her shrugging his shoulders. Riley’s eyes widened when she said how long she had been here. Shit he had been here his entire life and he hated it so much.
As soon as he could he was probably going to leave this town. But at the same time he wouldn’t want to because then he would be leaving behind his grandparents and that didn’t sound so thrilling to him. “ How do you like it so far?” He asked her then a thought struck him. What if this was the first thing she had done? Then how would she know if she liked it here or not. Jeeze sometimes Riley could be so stupid.
“ Oh wait is this the first place you have actually seen?” Riley asked her biting on his bottom lip. He could definitely show her around if she ever asked.

A pizza chef. Celia's face lit up at the mention of this. That was very cool! She couldn't cook to save her life, and the idea of working wasn't exactly appealing to her... but, she had an interest in those quirky jobs that most kids her age held. Most kids could say that they were a fry cook, a cashier, a waiter, or even a sales clerk... but not many could say that they had a chef job. "That's so..." She paused, catching her enthusiasm and quickly changing it to a more nonchalant tone of voice. "...understandable. How about we go for Chinese instead, my treat. You guys do have a Chinese restaurant, right?" God, she hoped so. She practically lived on Chinese food.
She noticed his change of emotions as she stated that she had just moved in today. She couldn't imagine living in such a small town forever. Where was the excitement? The fun? She already missed the busy, chaotic streets of New York City, but her grandmother had insisted this was best. It kept Celia away from those troublesome party friends, and the temptation. It gave her a fresh state. Plus, it was 'a great busy opportunity for the Chancellors.' Or, so Caroline had said. Celia highly doubted that a town as small as this could be 'a great business opportunity.'
Biting her lip a little harder, Celia forced a smile now. "It's... different." She stated, with a shrug, "I've never lived somewhere so tiny before." Her eyes drifted back to the ice cream now, studying it with a bit more intensity. "Yeah. Aside from the..." Fairway View Estates. Namely, the one her grandmother had specially built for them that just screamed 'publicity.' Yeah, she didn't intend to go there. Why would anyone from the estates be down here, anyhow? Instead, Celia smiled and looked back to Riley. "...apartments." [/blockquote]

Riley shook his head when she had asked about the Chinese food. “ Nope, if you want it you’ve got to leave and head into the city to get it” He told her honestly. Oh yeah this town sucks. But that’s what happens when this is the town that people decided to live in. Riley didn’t know what it was like to live somewhere else but he could guess.
Riley knew there was a fair amount of apartments around he was curious if she was in his building. “ So which apartment building are you in?” He asked her. He figured if she were in his building they could hand out whenever they got bored. And if she wasn’t in his apartment building she would be near him since they were all pretty close to each other. He absolutely hated it here so he was curious what made her family move down here in the first place.
He figured she would eventually tell him if they ever got close enough. Since he got close to almost everybody he figured it was only a matter of time before she opened up to him like everybody else in his life.

The fact that there was no Chinese food in town made Celia's eyes go wide with slight disappointment. "No Chinese food. You're like, kidding, right?" She was trapped in this small town with her family, and no Chinese food? Was her family trying to kill her? She knew it was a fresh start, but Chinese food was something that she practically lived on. Celia found herself struggling from blurting this out. Instead, she promised herself that she'd convince her mother to invest in a Chinese restaurant or something. She couldn't live on pizza forever. "We should go to the city. How far of a drive is it?" She was determined now. She would find some way to get something other than pizza.
And then came another inevitable question. Celia shifted uneasily. She had skimmed the names of the apartment buildings as she walked back not long before. Why she didn't just tell him that she was from the Fairway View Estates, she didn't know. But, she'd already dug this whole. "Those nicer ones up at the end of the street. Was it..." What had that building been called? The only name that came to mind, "The Chesterfield Apartments..." The name came out in a rush, barely audible now as she turned back to the ice cream. Pretending to be absorbed in choosing a flavor, Celia rattled another question now. "Which apartments are you in?" Assuming that he was in apartments. She doubted that he was just here by choice. Riley shook his head “ What kind of cold heartless person would joke about not having Chinese food restaurant?” He asked her seriously raising an eyebrow. Riley tapped his chin as he thought about it he wasn’t good with converting the miles to kilometers and stuff like that but he did know how long it would typically take. “ About three hours, four depending on traffic” He told her shrugging his shoulders. That’s one of the main reasons he hated it here it was so far away from the city that you couldn’t just go into the city for food then come back it pretty much had to be a day trip or you were wasting your time going in. Riley couldn’t help but let out a whistle when she told him which apartments she was living in.
Those were really nice and expensive. Well so he guessed he didn’t know many people that could actually afford to live there the rent was crazy expensive per month. Riley gave her a small smile “ The crappy ones on main street” He told her not ashamed that he didn’t come from money like apparently she did he was just loving life.

"That is, like, so sad." Celia frowned at how long of a drive it was. She had never lived anywhere so pathetic before! How could she survive? Shaking her head at the thought, Cecelia now studied the ice cream flavors with more intensity. She opened the freezer, pulling out a small container of Ben and Jerry's Cheesecake Brownie ice cream. Though it was totally unhealthy, Celia was grateful that they at least had this. It was expensive, yes, but she didn't care. She also pulled out a French Vanilla ice cream and then shut the freezer door. What else did she even need in here?
Riley stated that he lived on the crappy apartments on main street and Celia only smiled. "I'm sure they're not that bad." She stated sympathetically. He didn't sound very apologetic for his lifestyle, however, which surprised Celia. She hesitated for just a second, pondering this before she leaned against the ice cream freezer.
It was a fresh start. If Riley was going to be her first friend here, he at least deserved to know where she actually lived. Apartments were not, nor would they ever be, her home. "I have a confession..." Her voice came steady, knowing well that she wasn't apologetic for her lifestyle, either. She just wanted him to like her. "I don't live in the Chesterfield Apartments." Smiling sheepishly, Celia proceeded on. "I live up by the Fairway View Estates... in the big estate that started to go up a a year ago, on the outskirts of town." Her grandmother had been putting money into the estate since her father had passed away. It was now the biggest that Pebble Cove had to offer. Her grandmother was always quite frivolous with money, and believed that you needed to have the best of everything. Remembering this idea, Celia turned around and placed the French Vanilla ice cream back in the freezer. [/blockquote]

Riley nodded his head agreeing with her “ Yup but that’s how life is here” He told her. It was actually kind of funny that she hated it she had literally just moved here he had been here his entire life. Riley laughed “ Well come over one day then, it’s just a simple two bedroom with no balcony” He told her with a nod of his head. It’s not that it sucked it’s just that it wasn’t as good as others in this small ass town. Riley listened to her when she said that she had a confession.
He was going to interrupt her and say that she lied to him about being British but instead he just kept quiet and waited for what she was going to say. When she told him she lived in the big estate his jaw dropped “ Wow that’s like the biggest building around here” He told her not exaturating. That place would definitely make his place look like a dump. If they ever hung out at her place Riley would be out of his comfort zone and it would be weird for him since he would have no idea how to act in such a fancy home. He wondered how she would feel in his home.
