Nate was slightly annoyed at his mum and step dad for talking to there neighbour a nice old lady Evelyn Madison, because of the way his parents described her Nate pictured an old lady who sits at home and does knitting all day. Well they where talking last night and Evelyn Madison said that it would be a good idea if her grand daughter June Madison showed him around since Nate hasn't started college yet but him being naturally smart he got put in as a Junior what wasn't that bad as it would mean he would graduate from college all that much faster, but since Nate hadn't made any friends yet then it would be a good idea that June to show Nate around. Nate pictured June as a nerd who will be going into every bit of detail about everything in Pebble Cove.
Nate let out a sigh as he got changed into his normal attire as he wouldn't make much effort for a nerd. So he put on blue boots, blue jeans along with an orange top. He grabbed his mobile phone, keys and wallet and shoved them into his pockets. "Might as well get this over with" Nate thought to himself as he walked out of his home and up to the home that his mum told him to go to and to ask for June. He walked up to the door and knocked on the door, after a while he didn't hear no movement inside so he knocked again hoping someone would answer the door but hopefully no one was home so then he would be able to go back to his home and not bother with this June person.

Her grandmother was once the socialite of Pebble Cove, and still felt the need to meet every new person that came into town. Especially when people happened to move on to their street. Or, more specifically, into the apartment next to theirs. This was exactly why June found her grandmother's insistence that she show the new neighbors' son around town to be of little surprise. Her grandmother had always been an overly nice person to everyone that came to town, and June often found herself getting sucked into those nice deeds. So, in about ten minutes, she was due to meet the neighbor boy for a tour of the town.
Her grandmother had left to a book club just a half hour before, but not before instructing June to wear something nice and to be nice to the boy. So she now stood in front of her closet, peering over her choices of attire. For June, something nice meant a t-shirt and some shorts. For her grandmother, it meant a dress or a nice shirt and nice jeans. She wasn't about to dress up to meet a boy that she knew nothing about. So, she decided to make a compromise. She pulled on one of her favorite pair of black shorts, and then a nice white and black ruffled tank top. Sandals were the obvious choice of shoes, since it was summertime now.
And, before she had much more time to think, she could hear her small dog start to bark. The boy must have been there. She grabbed her favorite blue knit hat, and placed it on her head. Then, grabbing her messenger bag and her notebook, she quickly made her way into the other room. "Hush, Friday." She cooed softly to the small terrier dog as she slid him back with her foot and then opened the door. Seeing a boy stand there, June smiled lightly, suddenly feeling a bit nervous. When her grandmother said 'the neighbor boy,' she hadn't expected this. He was... cute. She bit her lip, hoping to not seem nervous as she shifted her belongings to her left hand and tightened her grip. "Hi. Are you the new neighbor?" Stupid question. Of course he was! Why else would he be standing at her door? Her smile turned rather sheepish now as she just opted to extend her right hand to him, "I'm June..." [/blockquote]

Nate was about to leave when he heard a dog barking from the inside so maybe someone was there or everone inside had decided to leave quickly. Nate started to count down from ten planning on leaving when he reached zero, "Ten..." Nate said but when he counted down to five the door opened to show totally the opposite of what he was expecting. He smiled lightly back at her finding it not so bad but just how old was she as she didn't really look that old but she is very attractive so it wouldn't be such a bad thing her showing him around. Nate noticed the female bite her lip but paid no attention to it as it was none of his business why she did it. He let out a sigh when she asked if he was the new neighbour. "Would I really be here if I wasn't your neighbour as I don't really want to be here" Nate said rolling his eyes slightly annoyed with the neighbour.
It was a stupid question to ask as why would a total stranger be knocking on her door if she wasn't the new neighbour, he raised an eye brow at her when she extended her hand, he knew she is just being friendly and he is suppose to be friendly with her as well so he let out a sigh before her took the hand and shook it firmly "The name is Nate" Nate said as he bent down to kiss June's hand gently planning on at least having some fun today. He let go of June's hand and straightened himself up. "So can we get this started then as I doupt you really want to be doing this any more than I want to be" Nate said being a bit rude but it was the truth he didn't want to be shown around Pebble Cove by an attractive female but he wouldn't mind exploring June any time of the week.

Standing in front of the boy, June continued to smile sheepishly. Her grandmother had always felt the need to volunteer her for things, especially tours of the town. She felt that it made June more outgoing and better at meeting people. However, the intial introductions never seemed to get easier. Each one always felt just as awkward as the last. And Nate was not making this any easier. Between his cute appearance and his impatient attitude, June couldn't help but to bite her lip even more. It was a nervous habit that she had developed throughout the years.
She found herself blushing as he kissed her hand, quickly averting her eyes to her sketchbook. She casusally slid it into her messanger bag as she responded. "Right, uh, let's get this tour moving." June nodded quickly. Locking the door and then pulling it closed, she stepped around Nate and made her way down the hall. The thing about apartment buildings were that you either had to take the stairs or the elevator. Most people would opt for the elevator, but June found it quickier and less awkward to take the stairs. They were only on the fourth floor. So, she walked by the elevator and motioned for Nate to follow as she took the stairs two at time.
"The elevator gets crowded. The stairs are much faster." She explained quietly as worked her way down the flight of the stairs. She'd stop every couple steps, glancing back up at Nate just to be certain that he was following her. "So... did you uhm... have any certain place you'd like to see first? Maybe something you're interested in? Pebble Cove, for a small town, has a little selection of things. Though it's really not much." [/blockquote]

Nate looked at the female in front of him who continued to smile at him. Nate stopped smiling at her as he had all ready been nice to the girl since he had arrived at the door so there was no real point. Nate did have to wonder why June's grandmother volunteered June to do it, but from what Nate has seen so far he was glad that it was June because of how attractive she is but he is also not glad because it seems that June is shy around guys. He noticed her biting her lip even more "You should stop doing that as you will end up hurting yourself if you continue doing that." Nate said flirting with her slightly as he didn't want his neighbour to hurt herself while she is with him as him mother will have a go at him and his siblings would never let him live it down that he let an attractive female get hurt.
Nate stood up but when he did he noticed that she had turned to look at her sketch book what she casually slid into her bag. "That is the best idea you have said all day June" Nate said as he let a sigh escape his lips When June had closed her door and locked it he moved out of the way so it would be easier for her to move around him, he followed her down the hallway wondering where exactly will she be showing him. Nate saw the elevator but June didn't opt to wait for it and instead went for the stairs so Nate followed her down the stairs, he compared the speed and length that they where taking and saw that June was taking two steps at a time and by the time she did that he had walked down two steps any way. "So I take it that you like to draw" Nate said indicating her bag.
"I was wondering why we where taking the stairs instead of the elevator. I guess that is good to hear so now I know what way to take when I am in a rush" Nate said with a slight shrug he saw her stopping every so often to make sure that he was still following her and not walked away from her. Nate bit his lip gently when she asked him if there was anything he wanted to see first. "I wouldn't mind to see you in bed first" Nate thought to himself. "I wouldn't mind knowing the quickest way to the college, I wouldn't mind being shown where the local clubs are..." Nate said but then he realised he didn't even know her age or anything "So how old are you June" Nate said wanting to get to know his neighbour better so that he would have a new friend and a place he could go to when he has argument with his mum or his step dad.

June only smiled as Nate agreed with heading on out. She was quick to make it down the flights of stairs, noticing that Nate could easily keep up to her pace. She took two steps at a time, he took one and they were still nearly equal. Reaching the bottom of the steps, she only nodded at his words. "It's much easier." She commented, in agreement. He made another comment now, one about drawing and June subconsciously tightened her hand on the strap of her bag. She walked through the lobby, waving at the doorman on their way out and nodding to Nate's words.
"I do." Her words came softly. Though she knew that she was pretty good at art, she didn't often like to show off her work. Her grandmother and dad both seemed to get a kick out of taking her sketch books from her room and showing guests. June, however, was much more reserved about her work. She didn't want critique and she didn't like to show it off. "But, it's nothing much. Just some sketches. ... are you interested in art?" She was curious, trying to find a bit of common grounds between the two of them. Art was her favorite thing, but many people didn't appreciate it. There had to be something that made Nate tick, however. She was going to figure out what.
She pushed open the doors now, holding it for Nate as they stepped outside. The town was small, so a tour wouldn't take long. "So, you're a college student, then?" June nodded, starting down the street to the right now. The college wasn't too far from their building. Honestly, their building was probably one of the more convenient buildings in town. She lead the way past the other apartments toward the crosswalk, and then motioned for Nate to follow her on across the street. She'd hit the college, and then show him the clubs. She wasn't old enough to get into them, but she knew where they were located.
At his next question, June suddenly took in the fact that he was a college student. What grade level, she didn't know. But, that still meant he was older. And, he was cute. These two facts almost made her nerves double. "Seventeen." She stated, softly, now biting her bottom lip once more. She tilted her head forward, her hair easily blocking Nate's view of this action, she was sure. "How old are you, Nate?" [/blockquote]

Nate smiled at June when she had smiled at him after he had agreed to heading out. But after June walked of he shook his head gently and rolled his eyes before he followed after her down the hall and down the stairs. When they reached the bottom of the stairs she nodded to his words "I guess it is but if you want to take your time then it would be better to take the lift" Nate said flirting with June slightly. Nate noticed that June tightened her hand on the strap of her bag that was holding her sketching pad. Nate did have to wonder why she had did that, didn't she want people to be looking at her drawing or knowing that she likes to draw and if that was true then why would she bring it with her any way. Nate followed June out of the door and saw that June waved to the doorman.
Nate raised an eyebrow when June spoke softly "June I do have another question for you and I am sorry if it is a personal one but do you like people to see your drawing and if you don't why did you bring them with you" Nate said as he was confused on the way June's mind works as she is doing things opposite of what people would of done in Wales when they didn't want people to know what they like doing. Nate smiled at June "Yeah I do like to do it, well I use to do be into it a lot when I was younger but I gave it up when I entered High School and became a popular since they don't like people who are good in classes, but I recently picked it up again about three years ago" Nate said as he had picked it up again while he was serving time in Jail, the smile he had on his face disappeared while he thought of his mistakes he made in Wales.
Nate gave June another smile when she held the door open "Isn't it suppose to be the other way around with the male holding the door open for the female not the other way around" Nate said slightly annoyed that June held the door open for him. "Yeah I am a junior in college what isn't really bad as this is going to be my first year in college when it starts, but I have all ways been naturally clever" Nate said with a slight shrug. At the crosswalk June motioned for Nate to follow her on across the street so he did. After they had reached the college June next shown Nate where the clubs are at, Nate only wanted to know where they where at so that he could stay away from them so that he doesn't slip into his old habbits
Nate became shocked when June told him her age was seventeen. Nate did have to admit even though she looks young he wouldn't of thought she was seventeen, eighteen would of been pushing it for him to believe. He raised an eye brow as he saw her tilting her head forward only for her hair to block Nate from seeing what the reason for it was for. "Oh I am only a twenty year old who lives with his mother" Nate said sighing slightly to imply he was messing about the fact he is a twenty year old who lives with his mother "Well that is until I graduate from College and if I don't go to Uni then I have to either move out and find my own place or start paying my mother rent"

June found butterflies forming her stomach as they walked. Nate was flirting with her, she was certain of that. She found herself flattered and surprised. She found him to be very cute, but she knew that he was older than she. She also had never been very confident when it came to boys and dating. In fact, she stuttered, got clumsy, and found herself struggling through her thoughts. This time through was no exception. As Nate questioned why she brought her sketch pad with her if she didn't want anyone to see her work, she fumbled through her words with a rather awkward pause.
"Well... I uhm..." June bit her lip again, only catching herself as she tasted the vanilla gloss on her lips. "I like to keep it with me always. For inspiration. Or, in case I get inspired." She replied, sincerely. She glanced at Nate from the corner of her eye, gauging his response to her reply. As he admitted that he liked to draw, June turned to fully face him. "Really?" Grinning now, she proceeded on, "I would love to see some of your work sometime." The cute boy, had just gotten cuter. He liked to draw! Some of her grandmother's reasons for forcing her into this were becoming more clear. Obviously, they had some things in common.
"What made you take art back up?... it is a hard habit to drop." She only laughed as Nate stated that the girl wasn't supposed to hold the door open for the guy. She shrugged off his annoyed tone, finding that chivalry was unneeded. The slight confidence that June had gained in the conversation, however, seemed to disappear as Nate mentioned his age. She knew he was older... but a junior in college? She hadn't thought of him to be quite the much older. He only had three years on her, though. She comforted herself with this thought. "I'm sure you'll... love the college. I hear it's... really something."
The walk to the college was rather brisk, and they arrived to the campus in just a matter of minutes. She paused out front of the dorm building, pointing toward it. "These are the dorms... the rest of the campus surrounds them." She stated softly. He stated that he'd have to move out after college, and June frowned slightly. Though they had just met, the thought was rather sad. "There's lots of apartments in our building that are pretty cheap!" [/blockquote]

So far Nate was having mixed feelings for June, he found her attractive, annoying for doing things he didn't like people doing, slightly strange sometimes and it seems that she is shy when it comes to males flirting with her as she has not flirted with him once when he flirted with her. Nate started to think what her love life was even like has seen even had a boyfriend before, has she had her first kiss yet and does she still hold her V-Card Nate bit down on his lip hard to stop him thinking about June as it is obvious when he is thinking of an attractive female because of not what he says but with what happens in his downstairs. Nate waited for June's answer on why she even bothered to bring her sketch pad if she wasn't going to show anyone.
"Well what is your answer June" Nate said hoping she would get to her answer before they arrived at the College. "But how can you find inspiration when you are showing me around Pebble Cove, but it would be more likely if you get inspired" Nate said smirking slightly as he meant that he was hoping she would get inspired to do a drawing of him. Nate saw her looking at him slightly when he had mentioned he likes to draw then she fully turned to face him. "Really" Nate said impersonating June slightly to wind her up as he wanted to find out what made her tick. "There would be some of my work I wouldn't show you as we have only just met and I don't trust you" Nate said as the truth was he didn't want to show her any of his drawings of his jail cell that he had drawn.
"Well three years ago I made a big mistake what left me with a lot of spare time, so I picked art back up to help me pass the time" Nate said. He let out a frustrated sigh and rolled his eyes in annoyance when she laughed at him for saying a girl is not suppose to be holding the door open for the guy well that was only Nate. "You really shouldn't be laughing as it would be a bad mistake" Nate said seriously but the truth is he would never hit a female only a male. "I'm not sure I will love the college as I find all education annoying , but luckily I am a Junior and not starting College from the start for my first year" Nate said happily.
Nate was glad that the walk was rather brisk only took a few minutes as it gave Nate time to think about ways he can avoid talking about how he spent time in jail and why he did it. "That is good to hear, so June I know this is a stupid question to ask you but do you know if the dorms are shared with a room mate and if they are, are they of the same gender or opposite gender" Nate said flirting with her slightly. Nate couldn't help but smirk when he noticed a frown on June's face "Will you miss me when I move out" Nate said slightly mocking his neighbor. "I know that but then I would have to see my family and worse yet you most days" Nate said as he had crossed his fingers in his pocket before he said worse then uncrossed them afterwards.
OOC Thought I would start to lead it up to there argument
