The bad luck (Riley only)

Riley shook his head “ What’s it matter if she’s your neibour?” Riley asked confused by that statement. Riley never understood that just because somebody was something what did it matter for not liking somebody. Heck or even liking somebody. Riley shook his head “ It’s very likely that, that specific person would still tell the secret” Riley told him honestly this town sucked for secrets nobody seemed to understand that the word secret meant to be kept a secret. It actually really upset Riley that Nate said June annoyed him.

June was just such a sweet person that he had no idea how anybody could find her annoying. June was on the top of his list of girls he would date if he wasn’t gay. She is just such a good person that’s why she had made his list- the list that would never be.

Nate stood there and thought about what to say about why June being his neighbour matter. "Well I have a thing about dating my neighbour because if we have a bad break up or something it will be such a hassle to deal with, well that is just me" Nate said as it was just him who has a thing about dating there neighbour, well there may be others like it but he hasn't met anyone yet. "Ahh that is good to know then, I was just wondering about it" Nate said trying to hide the fact that he was slightly worried as he had told June about him spending time in jail.

Nate did have to wonder if June would keep his secret as she does seem like a sweet girl who wouldn't get into trouble, so maybe she is exactly what Nate needs to keep him being good and not to be slipping back into his old ways. "Just wondering what do people think of you for being gay as you do seem like a nice person" Nate said being polite as he didn't have anything against gay people. "If you don't mind me asking"

Riley nodded kind of understanding what he meant it would be akward. But whatever it was his life. Riley smiled " Anybody can ask me anything and I will always give an answer so if you want to know something you don't have to ask if I could answer it just ask" Riley told him shrugging his shoulders. " Well the girls love that I'm gay because I'm all their friend, grandparents love me that hasn't changed, most males think I'm going to try and sleep with them so they treat me like shit" He told him honestly. The men in this town just didn't understand the whole being gay thing, he wasn't intersted in most of them. Mostly because they bullied him otherwise that might be a different sernerio.

Nate let out a sigh as he noticed Riley had nodded to him in a kind of understanding way. Nate did have to wonder what people would think of him if they found out about half of the things that he has done, would they be afraid of him for spending time in jail or would the be happy that he would stick up for his family and friends and would spend time in jail as a result. So many questions are going through Nate's heade and to little time to figure them out. "I was just wondering as I find it hard enough dealing with things so I would sort of understand if you found things hard because of you being gay" Nate said as he looked out to the sea "I prefer to ask people's permission encase I do end up offending people's feelings with my questions" Nate said with a slight shrug.

"I guess that is sort of good as you can find out which guys like your female friends and to see if they would treat them with respect and care. Personally I have nothing against homosexual or bisexual people as I have dated a bisexual female in the past" Nate said as he turned to look at Riley "Please don't tell June about the picture I am drawing off her as I want it to be sort of a surprise for her as we both like drawing things, as I do find her annoying but there is also something between us that makes me want to be with her for some reason" Nate said as he bit his lower lip as here he is admitting he likes someone to a stranger he has only met today.

Riley nodded his head not everybody in todays society respected men being gay. Some men absoutley hated the thought of other men being gay. Riley nodded his head " That's very true if you had treated me like shit when you found out I was gay, I don't think June would want anything to do with you, she just adores me" Riley said with a grin. Riley shrugged his shoulders " Well I haven't seen her in awhile so no worries with that" He told him honestly then remembered how much he missed June.

Nate raised an eye brow when he saw Riley nod his head when he had sad he didn't care about what gender people like. "He smirked slightly when he nodded his head again and what he said next. "Well if I didn't know you knew June, I would still be the same any way. I don't know why people hate other people just because they like the same gender or they like both genders, it just makes me sick that there are homophobic people who can't say nice things to homsexual people then they shouldn't say nothing to them..." Nate said shrugging his shoulders slightly. "...do you prefer being called gay or homosexual Riley?" Nate asked as homosexual is what they are but it means liking the same gender but some people prefer being called gay instead. "One less worry to be worrying about then" Nate said playfully.

Riley nodded his head it was a horrible society that they lived in and it drove him crazy. " I prefer being called Riley but if you have to use my sexuality I prefer gay" He told him shrugging his shoulders. Riley rolled his eyes " So you think, I could decide that I want to try out girls and go for June and she would do it" He said giving him a wink. He knew that June wouldn't go for it but he didn't know that. Besides Riley had enough of figuring it which he wanted.

It was boys and that's all it will ever be.
