James nodded his head ok so she had seen him before. But what he was wondering was how he treated her. He wasn't usually a jerk towards people but sometimes he was. Just all depended who he was with and more importantly who that person was. He wasn't mean to girls so that ruled her out.
Thankfully he didn't want to bully her in anyway. " Out of curiosity I have never been mean to you right?" He asked her needing it for his coscious.

... I was never mean to you, right? When he asked that, a small, slightly amused smile flitted over her face for a second, then it was gone. She didn't, honestly, peg him down as the type of guy who would be mean to anyone, though she had been wrong before. One of the only friends she had ever had turned out to be an obnoxious, power-hungry bitch who would put anyone down if it would help her ego. The blond girl wrinkled her petite nose in disgust, one again regretting all those years of sleep-overs and pillow fights with that girl. She didn't know how she couldn't see her natural attitude from the beginning - her 'friend' was always talking behind people's backs, and spreading vicious untrue rumors. Aura had obviously been blind-sighted by the fact that she had a friend, someone who actually wanted to spend time with her. And that didn't come by often.
"No.. Not to my face, anyway."
A light laugh escaped her lips, but her eyes held no such amusement. She knew people talked about her behind her back - the strange, anti-social girl who would rather sit in a tree for hours than on a boys lap. Honestly, she couldn't care less what people thought about her, but it still bugged her that most of the gossip was started by the girl who had once been Aura's friend.
Quite frankly, she didn't know if his group talked about her, and she didn't care to know. What you don't know, won't hurt you, right?

James nodded his head when she said she was never mean to her. Then she said well at least not to her face " I doubt I did that I just can't remember you" He told her biting his bottom lip feeling horrible for not rembering her. She is just so pretty how could somebody not remember her? Another nice thing about her was that she's shy. Such a nice trait in a girl in his mind anyway.
" Truthfully I don't know why anyone would bully you, you are very pretty" He told her truthfully and gave her a smile.

Her nose wrinkled lightly again, this time in amusement. He didn't remember her, well, that was nothing new. She didn't mind in the slightest. See, all those years in solitude had taught her not to value people's opinions too much. Those were temporary, and, to be quite frank, nobody showed their true side very often. Their true side was the one that they were most afraid to show, so people rarely knew the natural side to the person they were talking to. Aura was... different. She never hid her nature, and people resented her for it. Too be honest, she had never worried about the things other teenage girls worry about. For example: if her hair was hair-sprayed perfectly [which it wasn't, as said before, it's oftentimes mussed from the wind], or if her eyeliner is smudged [she rarely wore any]. She worried more about making sure her family was happy. She would worry about her friends, also, if she had any.
Her chocolate brown eyes flashed quickly his way, a blush spreading fiercely across her heart-shaped face. He complimented her. That was one thing she wasn't used to, and she was obviously surprised. She repressed a nervous giggle, searching for something to say. If she were witty, she would be able to think up a smart, cute little comeback, equally flattering, but she wasn't, and she couldn't.
"Thanks..."
She kept her eyes trained on him as she answered, giggling nervously.
"You're fairly handsome, yourself."
There. That was better than nothing, right? At least she had teased him a bit, and not acted like a total awkward idiot.

He cannot believe had had just complimented her. Well in such a way that is. He really hoped she didn't think he wanted to date her. He really hated leading girls on. James couldn't help but grin when she had complimented him back.
" Not my fault blame my parents" He told her sticking his hands up pretending he was being arrested or something.
(O.C.C. sorry it's so short and sorry it took me a while to reply)

A small smile crept up her pretty face. His compliment was still sinking in. The ghost of a frown crossed her heart-shaped face when she took in his slightly resentful reaction. Ehh, that didn't bother her. Not really.
A giggle bubbled from her throat when he made that comment.
"Not your fault. Right."
She was still giggling sweetly as she said those words.
Notes: It's totally okay. Sorry mine's so short, too. e.o

James shrugged his shoulders there were things that he blamed his mother for but tried not to bring them up. But he did decide to change the subject. " So got any siblings?" He asked her with a smile. After he asked he instantly regretted it. Often people would answer then say well what about you.
If she would ask he would tell her. He just really hoped she wouldn't.

The boy who sat next to her asked another question, and she ventures a sideways glance his direction. Why he was taking an interest in her life, she had no idea. Being in the group he was, she figured he would be more likely to be at a party or chatting it up with some hot babe in a bikini by the beach.
She looked back at the water, chocolate eyes brooding. She was lost in thought. Thinking about her family, the few friends she's had, and everyone else. Most people seemed to be grouped in the 'everyone else' category, for her, but, seeing as she wasn't the best at making friends, that wasn't so surprising.
And then she remembered he had asked her a question. Oh, dammit. She reprimanded herself for letting the silence stretch on for so long.
"I have two siblings. Luke and Gem. They're twins. They turn twelve next month, actually."
Hard to believe that time can go by so quickly. Twelve years and she still missed the dad that she couldn't quite remember, any longer. And it tore her up.
"And you? Do you have any siblings?"

James smiled as she ansered his question " They close in your age that's good" He couldn't help but notice that she seemed to take her time answering her questions. But that was ok maybe she just had alot going on in her mind. Then the dreaded happened she asked him if he had any siblings. He figured he should at least answer her. It was very rare that he talked about it anyway maybe he should start.
It would bring him closer to other people. James coughed " I used to have a sister, she's uh been gone for ten years" He told her not even making eye contact with her.
