Riley was really bored and wanted to see if he could get away with sneaking into the night club. If they ended up kicking him out it wasn’t that big of a deal he could write about it in his diary. One day he planned to write a book about growing up the way that he did and he needed to cause some drama in his novel. Before he left the house he had a lot of stuff to do.
First he had to make his fake id. Oddly enough that didn’t take that long, Just had to morph his face, and create an age and new name for himself. This was the sucky part about small towns most people knew how old he was so he couldn’t just walk in he had to make it look legit. Next he had to dress the part. He put on a fake mustache and he was ready to go.
Since his grandparents were sleeping they weren’t around to ask him why he had a mustache. His grandparents were good they didn’t set a curfew for him since they knew he never had any intentions of causing trouble and if he did, he would call them immediately. He walked to the club and since he was early there was nobody at the door so he didn’t have to show his id and it was very unlikely the bartender would ask since they would assume the door man already did it. But Riley wasn’t going to get cocky. He wasn’t that lucky of a person.

It seemed it would be a good night. Of course, it was still early, but already quite a few people had started dropping in. But then again, it was the summer holidays and all young people studying elsewhere were back in Pebble Cove. And what better way to celebrate the lighter nights than with music, dancing and drinking, right?
If only she didn't have to work... Pouring up an other tequila shot for a girl who looked way younger than 18 (her ID seemed legit though), she smiled at a few friends out on the dance floor, wishing she could be out there with them. But that's the way it was. You didn't just get a Harley. You had to work for it. Though the pay was rather good, it seemed she would have to spend the whole summer wiping glasses, mixing drinks and collecting tips to receive that precious bike.
She really could have done worse though. Like that summer she'd spent mowing her neighbours lawns. Her back had ached really bad every evening and still she'd only earned a few bucks. Or the dog-walking where one tiny poodle had run away and she'd spent the whole evening looking for it... Or when she'd handed out flyers... No, this was probably the best she could do. There were lots of people to talk to, and as long as you didn't throw any liquor on the customers, the boss seemed to like you. Of course, it did help when the boss was a friend of your brother, but still.

Riley went up to the lady at the bar and smiled at her. “ Hello my dear can I please get three rum and cokes” He said putting the id on the counter. He was praying that the lighting wasn’t that good since he wasn’t exactly the best at Photoshop. Then a thought stuck him he really had to go to the bathroom. “ I’ll be back in less than five minutes” He told her and took off towards the bathroom.
He walked into the bathroom and saw some random men he had never seen before shooting each other up with needles. So instead of going to the bathroom like he had originally planned he turned around and went back to the lady at the bar. He was pretty sure she wouldn’t stab a needle in his arm injecting him with who knows what. If he wasn’t so scared that those men were going to stab him while he was going to the bathroom he would’ve did it but he was paranoid. “ So uh hi” He said flashing her a smile and waited for his drinks.
He was hoping that she wouldn’t notice how paranoid he was acting. And if she did not to ask why.

'Come on, that one's for free!' Grunting, Ashley picked up the stained rag rag and started wiping up the spilled beer from the disk, as the older man was dragged away from the scene by his friends, shouting about how indecency and scams and robbery was now the standard of the clubs in New Hampshire.
'Hello my dear can I please get three rum and cokes' She couldn't help but return the smile. That mustache...The boy ran away quickly though, simply leaving his order and ID with Ashley. Taking it up and holding it under a lamp, she could see there was a few things off about it. The numbers looked a little fuzzy, and the picture didn't seem right. It looked decent enough though. She'd definitely seen worse. But still, it was clearly a fake, and she could lose her job serving him alcohol. But then again... The manager wasn't there tonight, and it was unlikely any of her co-workers would tell care if she gave an underage boy a few drinks. Why couldn't she let him have a good time tonight when he'd put so much effort into it? Be a pal. She remembered what it was like last summer, trying to get into pubs with her home made ID and older friends. To be 17, and 16.
Yes, but just one drink, she decided when the boy returned just as quickly as he'd run away. He looked much more nervous now though, almost scared. It seemed he actually needed the liquor. So Ashley filled one of the requested glasses with a mixture of rum and coke and slided it over to the younger boy. "You okay, kiddo?"

Riley looked at her oh shit she figured it out he coughed and put on a deep voice “ I am not a kiddo madam, I am twenty five years old and I would like to be addressed as sir or mister” He told her pretending to scratch his mustache. Well it did actually itch so it wasn’t a fake itch. As he itched his mustache he really hoped it didn’t fall off then her suspicions about him being a kid would be right. Unfortunately his luck ran out for the night the fake mustache had fallen off his face.
“ Ok ok so I’m not twenty five but could it be possible if you could just give me one drink?” He asked giving her a pout even though he figured she wouldn’t do it because it’s illegal but maybe if he explained the situation she might do it. “ I know it’s illegal and you could loose your job and possibly go to jail but what I just saw in the bathroom freaked me out, look I’m still shaking” He told her showing her his hand. “ Some guys were in the bathroom shooting each other up with needles” He told her. He knew it was a way to get high and that shit freaked him out. The thought of it freaked him out he had never seen it before and never wanted to see it again.

Turning from smiling to actually laughing as the mustache dropped from the younger boy's face, Ashley once again took a look around the room. No one seemed to be paying any attention to them. The bar was yet to be crowded and no one would notice if she gave an underage boy just one drink. Besides, she liked this boy. He was fun. And did not seem like an alcoholic. Or like he would turn aggressive.
Oh, those guys. No wonder he'd gotten scared. It wasn't exactly pleasant seeing junkies for the first time. Those red eyes, lost in some fantasy land, and the look of downfall... To be honest, she had tried some powder once in a friend's basement, but was too afraid of what it would do to her to ever attempt it again. Injecting with needles like these guys were definitely out of the question.
He could need a drink, just for tonight. So she motioned the glass closer to the boy and bent over the disk to come closer as she whispered."Don't tell anyone I gave this to you" she said, much lower than she normally talked, and winked conspiratorially at the boy, with one eye. "You're here alone?" she continued, straightening up and continuing to wipe off the disk while searching for any company waiting on their drinks, but failing to find any. What was the fun in going out if you didn't have your friends with you?

Riley smiled when she had actually given him a drink even though she knew he was clearly underage. He thinks it had something to do with his story about seeing the boys getting each other high with needles. Riley nodded his head “ Unfortunately yes nobody else wanted to come out” He said giving her a pout. Riley took a seat down at the bar he figured he could talk to her for abit “ So what’s your name?” He asked her. Riley figured if he stayed and talked to her for abit then the guys in the bathroom should be done by that time.
Well he hoped anyway because he had a really tiny bladder and he couldn’t hold it in for long periods of time. He was extremely tempted to just go into the women’s bathroom but at the same time he didn’t want a woman beating on him. Most women wouldn’t think he was gay so they would probably thinking he was just some pervert or something. Maybe it was just best to keep an eye on the bathroom and wait till they leave then he could go. “ So I’m Riley” He told her rembering that he hadn’t actually told her his name.

Finally, the DJ put on a song she liked, and while she listened to the boy talk, Ashley started humming along to the tune, tapping her hand on the counter in time to the music. "I'm Ash" she smiled, giving the boy, Riley was it, a short nod. He seemed nice and she hoped she wouldn't have to regret later serving him alcohol. But then again, what was life without a little bending of the rules? Not that the one drink would be enough to get him drunk. She'd only put half of the usual amount of rum in it.
"You've never been here before, right?" It wasn't really a question as the answer was rather obvious to her. His nervousness, the costume falling off... It had to be his first time. "Too bad your night started like that. This place is usually really fun." In an hour, or maybe even a half, the place would be filled and the party could start for real. Once again she half-regretted offering to work tonight, watching her friends dropping in in small groups. Focus on the money, Ashley. On the bike.

Riley shook his head “ Nope it’s hard to get into bars when your under age and know half the people in this small ass town” Riley told the woman named Ash honestly. Riley smiled “ Well I hope so” He told her. This is why Riley usually liked partying with people his own age that way it was less likely that he would see that. Well it would still happen but everybody knew not to do that stuff in front of him. Riley took a sip of his drink.
He could tell she didn’t put much alcohol in it but that was alright he didn’t want her to get in trouble for serving a minor anyways. “ So I don’t think I’ve seen you before did you just recently move here or something?” Riley asked her making conversation. He could tell it wasn’t as busy as it could be so he might as well keep her entertained until it got busy then he would leave her alone. At that time he would probably just go home.

"Well, it's no fun if it's easy, right?" she said while smiling at Riley. At least that's why Ashley sometimes did things she knew she shouldn't. For the excitement. The possibility of getting caught. Maybe even the danger? She rarely risked anything at work though, not wanting to lose her only income. She just couldn't risk that. She'd made an exception in this case though. The boy looked like he could need a bit of fun.
"Nah, I'm a native" Ashley took a good look at the boy. There was something familiar about him. They'd probably went to school together at some point, and as Riley had mentioned, it was a small town. She didn't know him any closer though. The name had even been new to her. It just happened to be that almost all of her friends were older than or the same age as her. And Riley was obviously younger.
She enjoyed the company, especially during this first less active hour. Most nights, she usually took this time to clean up or mess around with the other employees or her friends. She was the only one in the bar tonight though, it looked rather clean and her friends were all out on the dance floor. So instead, she rested her elbows on the counter and turned to the boy again after a scan of the room, in case anyone wanted to order. "How old are you then? For real"

Riley laughed and nodded his head “ It’s true the fun in life is doing what you’re not really supposed to do” He told her shrugging his shoulders. What he was doing could be dangerous but as long as no cops came in it should be alright. Ash didn’t seem like the kind of person that would rat him out because if she was she would’ve given him the drink in the first place. Riley nodded his head now he understood why he had never actually seen her before. Riley couldn’t help but laugh and point his finger at her “ You’re a foreigner” He joked with her even though it was true.
Ash asked him his real age. Oh Jeeze this was going to be interesting “ I’ll be sixteen soon” He told her pouting and waiting for her reaction to his age.
