Welcome to New York, the land of skyscrapers, business, culture, Broadway...ghosts?
For the artists of the twenty-first century, "making it" is an uncertain, lofty goal. Never mind being famous, just being able to pay your bills for your artist's paycheck is considered a huge achievement. To secure the odds a little more, a killer education is advised and what better place to hone your skills than New York?
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern University is barely twenty years old and is considered to be a bit of a joke by the more established New York schools. Their faculty is eccentric, the philosophy twisted and their methods unorthodox...and they have more money and more talent than they know what to do with. Their graduates are emerging as powerful, highly skilled, highly talented artists and have even begun to make their marks on society.
Although unusual in every sense, the progressive college has a secret that makes it perhaps the finest art school in the world. It's haunted. Ghosts roam the halls unseen but for the "out of the corner of my eye" experience unless they choose to fully reveal themselves. Some ghosts may prefer to haunt the students, to torture them and make their lives hell, but just as many will take a fancy to a certain student or two and "adopt" them. They might give them extra lessons or just look after them. No one has ever told the school's secret, but really, who's going to believe you when you tell them your exquisite voice was realized by a ghost?
